September and October have been very hectic months for us. Just about every weekend of both months either me or my husband were away for at least one night, we were under a great deal of stress and there just did not seem to be enough hours in the day.
While most people dread the holiday time, I adore it and am so ready for November and December and all that they bring to our lives and home. I am thrilled that my husband will not be away once this month and I am super excited to be getting ready for Christmas! The celebration is month long in our home, and because we like to soak up every bit of the fun in December, we started decorating last week!
What are some of your favorite traditions? We celebrate the time of advent with our wreath and a devotional as well as some fun activities and ways to serve others. We do a lot of baking and crafts, and watch a lot of Christmas movies. The satellite holiday stations are live as of tomorrow and I can’t wait to blast them after we have our own little worship sessions with “The Message” every day. 😁
School has been going well, we had fallen behind a couple of times (seems every time we would get caught up something else would cause another interruption.) But we are breezing through our core subjects and the boys are learning so much through their Friday enrichment program. It is so fun to see their creativity in their writing classes and to hear about what they are learning in world missions and apologetics. They are both loving karate at the moment and very much looking forward to skiing in a couple of months. What are some of your favorite winter activities?
Here is our tree on Halloween night (stayed up late with the boys to do it) before we added all the decorations. ❤️ 🎄
Have a blessed week!
